Elements of a Session

1

Soft Tissue Therapy.

We believe most injuries have an element of muscle impairment. Whether through deep tissue massage, instrument assisted therapy, cupping or active movement massage, the goal is to decrease the muscle tension to allow pain-free movement and improvement in range of motion.

2

Active Care/Exercises.

A significant portion of the session will be dedicated active care therapy and focusing on creating healthy movement patterns. During the initial evaluation we will establish which movements are painful and create a plan to decrease painful and limited mobility through exercises. Be prepared to work!

3

Adjusting.

Manipulation will be utilized in sessions when needed to create additional mobility in spinal/extremity regions that are lacking movement.

*Initial New Patient Sessions will include a thorough history and orthopedic/functional exam

Your body has what it takes to thrive.

FAQs

What should I wear to my appointment?

The majority of the session revolves around soft tissue massage and active care therapy/exercises. We recommend you dress in clothing that you are comfortable in first and foremost but allows you to you move without restriction. We do have a private bathroom that you can change in if coming from another commitment.

I’m only looking for a quick adjustment, can you do just that for me…and charge me less for it?

The short answer is no. The vision of Rooted Movement Rehab is deeper than just spinal manipulation. Providing a service that veers from our identity breaks down the integrity of Rooted Movement Rehab. We believe that while adjusting is great and feels good most of the time, it does not provide lasting relief on its own, but rather only temporary relief. If you are looking for just a quick adjustment and nothing more, there are great offices in the region that we can recommend upon request.
